I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
